Vivo Y17 review

Vivo has been launching smartphones in the Indian market- especially at mid-range different price points. With the launch of Y17, Vivo has come with its new mid-range device. The smartphone features 6.35-inch HD+ LCD display, MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, triple-camera rear setup, and huge 5,000mAh battery life. Design and Display

Vivo Y17 is a nice looking device which is mostly made of plastic. Talking about mid-range smartphones, most of the devices get the same build. Vivo Y17 comes in two color variants: Mineral Blue and Mystic Purple. The back panel looks like it is made of glass but it is actually plastic. Although, it is a fingerprint magnet! So, you have to wipe your fingerprints, again and again, to make it smudge free. Towards the plastic frame, you can see the earpiece grille. On the right, you can see the power and the volume buttons while SIM Tray houses on the left. The buttons feel clicky and tactile. Coming to the display, the Vivo Y17 packs a 6.35-inch HD+ LCD display with a pixel resolution of 720 x 1544. All the colors come out nice and bright plus vivid too. The display gets very thin bezels around but the bottom bezel is relatively thicker.

Coming to the camera, the Vivo Y17 packs a triple-rear camera sensor including the 13-megapixel primary sensor (f/2.2 aperture), an 8-megapixel super wide-angle sensor (f/2.2 aperture) and a 2-megapixel depth sensor (f/2.4 aperture). For selfies, you get a 20-megapixel selfie shooter. You get to capture some great pics with well-defined detailing and aesthetics coming out. The triple-rear camera setup handles the job well and in low lighting conditions too, you get to see some really nice images.
